Margaret de was born about 1385 in Upholland, Lancashire, England.  Margaret de's father was Thomas de Holand , KG, 2nd Earl of Kent and her mother was Alice FitzAlan.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas de Holand , KG, 1st Earl of Kent and Joan Plantagenet , "The Fair Maid of Kent"; her maternal grandfather was Richard II "Copped Hat" FitzAlan , Earl Arundel. She had a brother and three sisters, named Edmund de, Eleanor de, Joan de and Eleanor de.  She died on December 30th, 1429 in St Saviours Monastery, Bermondsey, Surrey, England.

‌Margaret de and John "Fairborn" were married in a religious ceremony before September 28th, 1397 in 1st husband.  They had two sons and a daughter, named John, Edmund and Joan.
