William "Mafonache" was born on November 23rd, 1116 in Gloucestershire, England.  William "Mafonache"'s father was Robert "The King's Son" Caen 1st Earl Of Gloucester/Fitzroy and his mother was Maud Fitzhamon [Countess Of Glochest.  His paternal grandparents were King Henry I "Beauclerc" England King and Edith Fitzforne; his maternal grandparents were Lord Of Thoringni & Tewkesbury Robert Fitzhamon Lord Of Thoringni & Tewkesbury and Sybil De Montgomery Maud. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Roger, Hamon, Robert Castellan Of, Philip Fitzrobert Lord De, Richard, Maud Fitzrobert De, Christian Of, Mabel and Emma De.  He was the third oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 67 on November 23rd, 1183 in Cardiff Castle, Glamorganshire, Wales.  He was buried in Priory, Keynsham, Somersetshire, England.
