Maude (Matilda) was born about 1396 in Ravensworth, Yorkshire, England. Maude (Matilda)'s father was Baron Sir Henry IV Fitzhugh and her mother was Elizabeth Grey. Her paternal grandparents were Sir Henry III 2Nd Baron Fitzhugh and Joan Le Scrope [Baroness Fitzhugh]; her maternal grandparents were Robert Grey [Sir Knight] and Lora St. Quintin. She had a brother and four sisters, named William, Eleanor, Lora, Elizabeth and Alianore. She was the second oldest of the six children. She died before May 30th, 1467. She was buried in Of, Malton Abbey, Yorkshire, England.
