Joan Le was born before 1266 in Ryhall, Rutlandshire, England.  Joan Le's father was Sir/[Justicar Of England] Hugh 1St Baron Le Despenser [Justicar Of England] and her mother was Countess Of Norfolk Aline Basset Countess Of Norfolk.  Her paternal grandparents were Lord Of Loughborough, Sir Hugh Le Despenser Lord Of Loughborough, Sir and Mrs-Hugh Le Despencer; her maternal grandparents were Sir Philip Basset Sir/Sir and Hawise De Hawise De Lovaine. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Philip, Hugh III Le, Hugh Le Despencer The Elder Earl Of, Anne Le and Eleanor Le.  She was the youngest of the six children.  She died in 1322 in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, England.

‌Joan Le and Thomas 1St Baron De were married in a religious ceremony in 1st Wife.  They had a son and four daughters, named Thomas 2Nd Baron, Katherine, Eleanor De, Maud De and Margaret De.
