Joan De was born in 1236 in Of, Derbyshire, England.  Joan De's father was William de FERRERS 7th Earl of DERBY and her mother was Margaret De QUINCY.  Her paternal grandparents were William de FERRERS EARL OF DERBY and Agnes of Meschine; her maternal grandparents were Roger De QUINCY EARL OF WINCHESTER and Helen (Elena) Of GALLOWAY. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Robert, William De, Elizabeth and Agnes De.  She was the oldest of the five children. She had a half-brother and seven half-sisters, named John De, Maud (Matilda) De, Agnes De, Isabel de, Joan De, Sibyl De, Agatha De and Eleanor De.  She died in Berkeley Castle, Berkeley, Gloucestershire, England.  She was buried in St Augustines, Bristol, Gloucestershire, England.


Joan De's family with Thomas BERKELEY Baron

‌Joan De and Thomas were married in a religious ceremony about 1255.  They had four sons and three daughters, named Maurice IV the magnificent, John De, James De, Thomas III De, Alice, Margaret De and Isabel De.
