Eleanor De was born about 1236 in Of, Derbyshire, England.  Eleanor De's father was William de FERRERS 7th Earl of DERBY and her mother was Sibyl MARSHALL.  Her paternal grandparents were William de FERRERS EARL OF DERBY and Agnes of Meschine. She had a brother and six sisters, named John De, Maud (Matilda) De, Agnes De, Isabel de, Joan De, Sibyl De and Agatha De.  She was the second youngest of the eight children. She had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Robert, William De, Joan De, Elizabeth and Agnes De.  She died before October 12th, 1274.  She was buried in Leeds Priory.
