Eveline (Aveline) was born about 1172 in Hereford, Herefordshire, England.  Eveline (Aveline)'s father was Earl of Hertford Roger De Clare Earl of Hertford and her mother was Maud (Matilda) De Saint Hillary.  Her paternal grandparents were Lord of Clare Richard FitzGilbert De Clare Lord of Clare and Alice (Adeliza) De Meschines; her maternal grandparents were James De Saint Hillary and Aveline De Hesding. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Richard, Roger, Elena and Mabel FitzPatrick.  She was the youngest of the five children. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Ralph, William V, Cecily and Avice (Agnes).  She died about June 4th, 1225.

‌Eveline (Aveline) and William were married in a religious ceremony in 1184.  They had a son named Warin.
