John De CLARE

John De was born in 1170 in Clare, Suffolk, England.  John De's father was Roger De CLARE 2nd EARL OF HERTFORD and his mother was Maud de SAINT HILARY. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Richard De, James De, Roger De, Henry De, Aveline de and Mable De.  He was the second youngest of the seven children. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named William D', Alan (Aubigny) De, Godfrey (Aubigny) De, Matilda d' and Avice (aGNES).
