James De CLARE

James De was born in 1164 in Clare, Suffolk, England.  James De's father was Roger De CLARE 2nd EARL OF HERTFORD and his mother was Maud de SAINT HILARY. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Richard De, Roger De, John De, Henry De, Aveline de and Mable De.  He was the second oldest of the seven children. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named William D', Alan (Aubigny) De, Godfrey (Aubigny) De, Matilda d' and Avice (aGNES).
