Eglentine De was born in 1257 in Of, Tonbridge, Kent, England.  Eglentine De's father was Richard de CLARE EARL OF GLOUCESTER and her mother was Maud de LACY. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Gilbert "the Red Earl" de, Thomas de, Bevis (Bogo) (Benet) De, Robert (Richard) De, Isabel De, Margaret De, Maud De and Roese (Rohesia) De.  She was the youngest of the nine children.  She died in 1257 in (age 15 Weeks).
