Jacob Brubaker 
Jacob was born on April 14th, 1814 in Bedford County, Pennsylvania. Jacob's father was John Brubaker and his mother was Esther Miller. His paternal grandparents were Hans Jacob III Brubaker and Mary Elizabeth Steinweg; his maternal grandparents were John Miller and Elizabeth Phillips. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Michael, Henry, John, Homer, Elizabeth, Lydia, Mary, Mahalia and Susan. He died at the age of 64 on March 7th, 1879 in Collamer, Whitley County, Indiana.General Notes
Jacob and Lydia had 10 children. After the death of Lydia he married Susan Miller Brubaker, his brother Michael's widow. No children were born to this marriage.
Jacob purchased land in Jay Co in September of 1837.
Most of the children's births and marriages are from an LDS IGI
submission, source batch 5002610, sheets 31 and 34. This batch has the children's mother's name as "Lydia Daniel" (no final s.) I sent for it, but the film which came did not really have that batch on it, so I don't know who made the submission. The index also lists from this batch the marriage of Jacob Brubaker to Lydia Daniel on 14 Apr 1814 in Whitley County, Indiana, which does not make sense.
Birth and death dates for Jacob Brubaker and Lydia Daniels are from Ken Fawley and Marwin E. Brubaker. According to Marwin's notes, they had 9 children, of whom 3 sons died in camp of measles during the Civil War.

Family Notes
The IGI for Ohio twice lists the marriage of Jacob Brubaker to Lydia
Daniels in Perry County, Ohio. Batch M514131, sheet 2227 gives the date as 13 Dec 1837, while batch 8408707, sheet 61 gives it as 14 Dec 1837. My guess is that the former date is when the marriage license was issued, and the latter when the wedding took place.
