John Brubaker 
John was born on March 2nd, 1790 in Lancaster Co, Penn. John's father was Hans Jacob III Brubaker and his mother was Mary Elizabeth Steinweg. His paternal grandparents were Hans Jacob II Brubaker and Anna Maria Schimpft; his maternal grandparents were John George Steinweg and Veronica Dannerin. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Jacob Jr, Martin, Mary and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 58 on December 24th, 1848 in Sandusky Co., OH. He was buried in Ludwig Cemetery, Ohio.General Notes

John Brubaker the grandfather, was born march 2, 1790, and died December 24,1848. He married Esther Miller, who was born November 6,1793 and died March 23,1870.
After the death of John Brubaker she married George Overmyer; she was the mother of ten children. John secured eighty acres of land situated on the Greenburg Turnpike, about six miles from Fremont, Ohio.
The old certificate which is in the possession of the family fully describes the situation of this land and was issued with the signature of Andrew Jackson, then president of the United States, April 15,1833
