Ankaret le was born about 1306 in Wem, Shropshire, England. Ankaret le's father was William 1st Baron le Boteler , of Wemme, Sir and her mother was Ela Herdeburgh. Her paternal grandparents were William le Boteler , Sir and Angharad verch Gruffudd; her maternal grandparents were Roger de Herdeburgh , of Prilleston and Ida de Odingsells. She had two sisters named Alice le and Denise le. She was the oldest of the three children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William 2nd Baron le and Isabel. She died on October 8th, 1361.
