Emma was born in 0986 in Normandy, France. Emma's father was Duke Richard (The Fearless) de Normandy and her mother was Duchess Gunnora de Crepon. Her paternal grandparents were Duke William I of Normandy and Espriota de Senslis; her maternal grandparents were Harald II Blaatand Gormsson and Gunhild Olafsdotter. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Count Godfrey, Duke Richard II (The Good), Archbishop Robert, Count Mauger, Count Ralph, Hawise, Matilda, Haviose and Beatrix. She was the youngest of the ten children. She died at the age of 66 on March 6th, 1052 in Winchester, Hampshire, Eng.General Notes
