Margaret de Braose 
Margaret was born about 1177 in Abergavenny, Wales. Margaret's father was Lord William III de Braose and her mother was Maud (Matilda) de Saint Valery. Her paternal grandparents were Baron William II de Braose and Bertha de Gloucester; her maternal grandparents were Bernard de St Valery and Bertha FitzWalter de Gloucester. She had thirteen brothers and five sisters, named Robert, Roger, Thomas, Walter, Lord William IV (The Younger), Hugh, Giles, Henry, Reginald, Bernard, John, Fulk, Philip, Flandrina, Maud, Joan, Laurette and Eleanor. She was the eighth oldest of the nineteen children.-
