James Alexander West 
James Alexander was born on October 28th, 1849 in Gibson Co, TN. James Alexander's father was Phillip Herington West and his mother was Deborah D. Butler. His paternal grandparents were John William West and Elizabeth Frazier; his maternal grandparents were James M. Butler and Anna West. He had a sister named Anna Elizabeth. He was the older of the two children. He had two half-brothers named William A. and Emerson E.. He died at the age of 56 on May 19th, 1906 in Gibson Co, TN. He was buried in Chapel Hill Baptist Cemetery.-
