John Gheen 
John was born in 1849. John's father was Thomas R. Gheen and his mother was Ann Shaw. His paternal grandparents were Thomas R. Gheen and Hannah Pence; his maternal grandparents were Hugh Shaw and Elizabeth Finley. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Thomas, David W,, William Joseph, George M., Jesse A., Hannah A., Mary, Jane, Susannah, Sara Belle and Elizabeth. He was the fifth youngest of the twelve children.-
