Richard Basset 
Richard was born in 1102 in Drayton-Basset, Stafford, Eng. Richard's father was Ralph Basset and his mother was Alice de Buci. His paternal grandfather was Thurston Basset. He had four brothers named Gilbert, Thurstine, Nicholas and Thomas. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 42 in 1144.General Notes
