Nicholas Basset 
Nicholas was born about 1109 in England. Nicholas' father was Ralph Basset and his mother was Alice de Buci. His paternal grandfather was Thurston Basset. He had four brothers named Gilbert, Richard, Thurstine and Thomas. He was the second youngest of the five children.
