Hezekiah was born on October 22nd, 1744 in Norwich, CT. Hezekiah's father was John Armstrong and his mother was Mary Durkee. His paternal grandparents were John Armstrong and Anne Worth; his maternal grandparents were John Durkee and Mary Lee. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named John, Andrew, Ebenezer, Ebenezer, Lee, James, Zacheus, Stephen, Olive W., Lydia, Eunice and Temperence. He was the sixth oldest of the thirteen children.-
