William Washington Workman 
William Washington was born on November 15th, 1830 in Mc Dowell, WV. William Washington's father was Joseph Workman Jr and his mother was Elizabeth Reed. His paternal grandfather was Joseph Workman; his maternal grandparents were John Reed and Mary Elizabeth Shanton. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Charles William, James Matison, Raymond Shanton, George Floyd, Malinda Jane and Mary. He was the third youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 74 on September 4th, 1905 in Cordova, WV.-
