Malinda Jane was born about 1829 in VA. Malinda Jane's father was Joseph Workman Jr and her mother was Elizabeth Reed. Her paternal grandfather was Joseph Workman; her maternal grandparents were John Reed and Mary Elizabeth Shanton. She had five brothers and a sister, named Charles William, James Matison, Raymond Shanton, William Washington, George Floyd and Mary. She was the third oldest of the seven children. She died on April 29th, 1907 in Wyoming, WV.-
