Joan was born in 1272 in Akko Isreal (acre, Hazafon). Joan's father was Edward I Plantegenet and her mother was Eleanor Castile. Her paternal grandparents were Henry III Plantegenet and Eleanor Provence; her maternal grandparents were Ferdinand III Spain and Joanne Dammartin. She had two brothers and a sister, named Edward, Edward II and Elizabeth. She was the oldest of the four children. She had a half-sister named Eleanor. She died at the age of 35 on April 22nd, 1307 in Claremont, Eng.-
