Her paternal grandparents were Richard Clare and Maud Lacy; her maternal grandparents were Edward I Plantegenet and Eleanor Castile. She had three sisters named Eleanor, Elizabeth and Alianor. She was the second oldest of the four children. She had a half-sister named Isabel. She died at the age of 49 on April 9th, 1342 in France.-
