James Grubbs 
James was born in 1845 in Mississippi. James' father was Toliver Hedgepath, Sr. Grubbs and his mother was Jemima Caroline Pannell. His paternal grandparents were Enoch II Grubbs and Sarah Rhoda Parnell. He had three brothers and a sister, named William Henry, ZACHARIAH, Toliver Hedgepath Jr. and Mary. He was the third oldest of the five children.-
