John Hawke

John was born on August 19th, 1785.¹   John's father was Thomas Hawke and his mother was Jane Gilbert. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, Philip, Samuel, George, Robert, William, Ann, Jenifer, Philippa and Jane.  He was the second oldest of the eleven children.
