Richard, known as The Red, was born in 1259 in Ulster,Ireland. The Red's father was Earl Walter II De Burgh Of Ulster and his mother was Avelina Fitzjohn. His paternal grandparents were Richard De Burgh and Egidia De Lacy; his maternal grandparents were Sir John Fitzgeoffery Justiciar Of Ireland and Isabel Le Bigod. He had a sister named Egidia. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 67 on July 29th, 1326 in Athassel,Ireland.
