Maria Friederike was born on July 7th, 1823 in Remscheid (Alemania). Maria Friederike's father was Johann Justus Scharff Stein Comerciante and her mother was Gertrude Halbach Hilger. Her paternal grandparents were Kaufman Johann Valentin Gottfried Scharff and Ana María Stein; her maternal grandparents were Johannes Arnold Halbach Hasenclever Comerciante and Maria Gertrude Hilger Huetz. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Gustav, Gottfried Martin Justus, Philip Adolf, Marie Elise, Victoria, Constantine Auguste, Clara Sibylle, Bertha and Louise. She was the fourth oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 30 on December 4th, 1853.-
