Gustav Scharff Halbach-Hilger 
Gustav was born on February 22nd, 1831 in Remscheid (Alemania). Gustav's father was Johann Justus Scharff Stein Comerciante and his mother was Gertrude Halbach Hilger. His paternal grandparents were Kaufman Johann Valentin Gottfried Scharff and Ana María Stein; his maternal grandparents were Johannes Arnold Halbach Hasenclever Comerciante and Maria Gertrude Hilger Huetz. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Gottfried Martin Justus, Philip Adolf, Marie Elise, Victoria, Constantine Auguste, Maria Friederike, Clara Sibylle, Bertha and Louise. He was the third youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 64 on September 7th, 1895.-
