Gottfried Martin Justus was born on June 24th, 1831 in Remscheid (Alemania). Gottfried Martin Justus' father was Johann Justus Scharff Stein Comerciante and his mother was Gertrude Halbach Hilger. His paternal grandparents were Kaufman Johann Valentin Gottfried Scharff and Ana María Stein; his maternal grandparents were Johannes Arnold Halbach Hasenclever Comerciante and Maria Gertrude Hilger Huetz. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Gustav, Philip Adolf, Marie Elise, Victoria, Constantine Auguste, Maria Friederike, Clara Sibylle, Bertha and Louise. He was the second youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 53 on August 21st, 1884.-
