Sarah Ann Varner 
Sarah Ann was born on August 16th, 1828 in Barnesville, Belmont County Ohio.1 Sarah Ann's father was John "Johnny" Varner Jr and her mother was Irena Emma Andrews. Her paternal grandparents were John Varner and Sarah Moore; her maternal grandparents were Richard Andrews and Polly Bailey. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Richard Lane, John Nelson, William Henry, Samuel Colson, Philip Mason Thomas, Joseph Wilson, Barbara Ellen, Rhoda Jane, Maria Emily, Malinda Elma and Axiah Emily. She was the oldest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 34 on April 18th, 1863 in Hunter, Belmont County, Ohio. She was buried in Mt Horeb Cemetery, Wayne Twp, Ohio.1 1 General Notes
