Samuel Varner 
Samuel was born about 1805 in Greene County, PA.1 Samuel's father was John Varner and his mother was Sarah Moore. His paternal grandparents were Adam Varner and Eve Lnu; his maternal grandparents were John Moore and Hannah Armstrong. He had five brothers and two sisters, named John "Johnny" Varner, Isaac, Joseph W., Daniel M, Armstrong M, Hannah and Sarah. He was the second oldest of the eight children.General Notes

Little is known about Samuel Varner. Physically, he was dark i complection and was definitely German. He married five women in his lifetime, three of whom died young.
Samuel and Margaret were married in a religious ceremony on April 27th, 1820 in Washington County Ohio.1
Samuel and Mary were married in a religious ceremony on November 9th, 1835.1 They had three sons and three daughters, named William (possibly Wilson), Samuel Varner, Robert, Lucy, Sarah and Tamar.

Samuel Varner was born on June 2nd, 1844 in Lewisville, Monroe County, Ohio.1 He died at the age of 71 on July 26th, 1915 in Sonoma County California.1
