Bird Dilley 
Bird was born in 1816 in Ohio.1 Bird's father was Jr. Dilley John and his mother was Elizabeth Ackland aka Eckland. His paternal grandparents were Sr. Dilley John and Catherine Himpin; his maternal grandfather was Christian Ackland aka Eckland. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Joseph A, Barnett, James, Abner, Hannah, Peninah, Elizabeth, Anna, Catherine and Diana. He was the second youngest of the eleven children.
Bird and Sally were married in a religious ceremony on October 30th, 1839 in Lawrence County, Ohio.1
