Gordon was born about 1804 in Springfield,Washington Co,KY.1 Gordon's father was Joseph Tyree and his mother was Anna Gordon. His maternal grandparents were Hugh Gordon and Sarah Owens. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Franklin, George, Helcher "Gillum", Benjamin Franklin, Jane and Elizabeth. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died in Polk or Dallas Co,MO.1 -
