Elizabeth was born about 1829 in Estill or Washington Co,KY.1 Elizabeth's father was Joseph Tyree and her mother was Anna Gordon. Her maternal grandparents were Hugh Gordon and Sarah Owens. She had five brothers and a sister, named Franklin, George, Gordon, Helcher "Gillum", Benjamin Franklin and Jane. She was the youngest of the seven children.-
