Pierre was born in 1683.1   Pierre's father was Martin Benoit and his mother was Marie Chaussegros. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Clement, Claude, Jean, Jacqueline, Marie, Catherine, Jeanne-Anne and Francoise. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Jean, Marie and Francoise.1
