Nancy A. was born on May 1st, 1826 in Tennessee. Nancy A.'s father was Alexander Wiley Richardson and her mother was Sarah Elizabeth Gibbs. Her paternal grandparents were Isaac Richardson and Nancy Wiley; her maternal grandparents were David Gibbs and Sarah Margaret Tillman. She had seven brothers and five sisters, named David Gibbs, William L., Isaac, George Washington, Robert H., John Merrit, Alexander Wiley, Sara Gibbs, Caroline, Rachel, Minerva and Louisa May. She was the second oldest of the thirteen children.-
