William "Buckeye Billy" was born about 1748 in Luenberg Co., VA. He died on January 31st, 1835 in Smythe County, Virginia. He was buried in Richardson Family Cemetery, Rich Valley, VA.General Notes
Nickname, "Buck-Eye-Billie", was given following his feat of clearing the large area of land he purchased filled with "buck-eye" trees.
