David Gibbs 
David was born on April 18th, 1774 in Orange Co., North Carolina. David's father was Johann "Nicholas" Gibbs and his mother was Mary Efland. His paternal grandparents were Johann Nicholas Gibbs and AnnaMaria; his maternal grandparents were Peter Efland and Catherine "Catey" Pickard. He was an only child. He died at the age of 73 on June 5th, 1847 in Knox Co., Tennessee.General Notes
David Gibbs was born in 1774 in Orange County, North Carolina. He married Sarah Tillman in May of 1777. She was the daughter of Tobias and Catherine (Sharp) Tillman. They farmed 100 acres of land in Bold Valley. They returned to North Carolina where both are buried.
