Richard Whitaker

Richard was born about 1749 in Of, Warwick, VA.¹ Richard's father was Richard Whitaker and his mother was Elizabeth Cary. His paternal grandparents were John Whitaker and Martha Gough; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Cary and Elizabeth Hinde. He had two brothers and four sisters, named John, Cary, Anne, Elizabeth, Temperance and Martha. He was the second youngest of the seven children.
