Martha Whitaker

Martha was born about 1745 in Of, Warwick, VA.¹ Martha's father was Richard Whitaker and her mother was Elizabeth Cary. Her paternal grandparents were John Whitaker and Martha Gough; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Cary and Elizabeth Hinde. She had three brothers and three sisters, named John, Richard, Cary, Anne, Elizabeth and Temperance. She was the fourth oldest of the seven children.
