She had three brothers and three sisters, named Samuel, Joseph, John H., Matilda Ann, Pheriby Jane and Amanda C..  She was the fourth oldest of the seven children. She had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named William, Margaret, Rebecca Jane, Cornelia B. and Rachel E..
