Nathan Spears 
Nathan was born in 1774 in North Carolina.1 Nathan's father was Kindred Spears and his mother was Elizabeth Jones. His paternal grandparents were James Spears and Elizabeth Coker; his maternal grandfather was James Jones. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Willis, William, Sarah and Elizabeth. He was the third oldest of the five children.-
