George Franklin Sims 
George Franklin was born on October 10th, 1894 in ,Shelby, Illinois.1 George Franklin's father was John Thomas Sims and his mother was Martha Lavonia Shehorn. His paternal grandparents were John Jackson Or Jack Sims and Catharine Ann Knight; his maternal grandparents were Giles Harrison Shehorn and Ammogine Horton. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Charles H., Edward Clayton, Harold W., John William, Anna Belle, Martha Alice and Alta Marie. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 79 on April 20th, 1974 in Decatur, Macon, Illinois. He was buried in Graceland Cem., Decatur, Macon, Illinois.1 1 -
