Anne Sims 
Anne was born in 1706 in Charles County, Maryland.1 Anne's father was John Semmes and her mother was Mary Higdon. Her paternal grandparents were Marmaduke Semmes and Fortune Watson; her maternal grandparents were John Higdon and Millicent. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Claiborne, Rebecca and Mary. She was the third oldest of the five children.
