Samuel Simmons

Samuel was born on November 15th, 1809 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   Samuel's father was Christian Simon Or Simmons and his mother was Catherine Amend Or Ammons.  His paternal grandparents were Jacob Simon and Margaret. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Jacob, George, Margaret, Elizabeth, Susannah Catherine, Mary, Martha and Anna.  He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.
