Martha Simmons

Martha was born in 1810 in Of, Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   Martha's father was Christian Simon Or Simmons and her mother was Catherine Amend Or Ammons.  Her paternal grandparents were Jacob Simon and Margaret. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Jacob, Samuel, George, Margaret, Elizabeth, Susannah Catherine, Mary and Anna.  She was the third youngest of the nine children.
