Mary Simmons

Mary was born on April 6th, 1803 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   Mary's father was Christian Simon Or Simmons and her mother was Catherine Amend Or Ammons.  Her paternal grandparents were Jacob Simon and Margaret. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Jacob, Samuel, George, Margaret, Elizabeth, Susannah Catherine, Martha and Anna.  She was the fifth oldest of the nine children.
