Richard was born on June 19th, 1793 in Madison Co., KY.1 Richard's father was John "Jack" Sappington and his mother was Jemima Fowler. His paternal grandparents were John Sappington and UNKNOWN Margaret. He had seven brothers and ten sisters, named Zephaniah, Mark, Mark, John, Hartley, Resin, Thomas, Margaret, Drusilla, Elizabeth, Sarah, Mary, Jemima, Patience, Rebecca, Nancy and Eleanor. He was the nineth oldest of the eighteen children. He had a half-brother named Mark. He died at the age of 79 on November 28th, 1872 in Edwardsville, IL.1 -
