George A. was born about 1843 in ,,Kentucky.¹   George A.'s father was James S. Moore and his mother was Martha A. Bibb.  His paternal grandparents were Elisha Moore and Elizabeth Money. He had two brothers and three sisters, named James M., W. L., Matilda F., Mary E. and Martha A..  He was the oldest of the six children. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Sherman B., Allie E., Clarence E., Minnie J. and Rosa E..
